144hz going nutz

I have a 144hz for few months now. Each time I start a game, my screen goes black for 3 seconds and when I quit the game it's exactly the same. It's not a BIG problem but it's very annoying and my gaming experience is totally ruined because of this. I gotta wait 3 seconds each time I alt+tab too.
Someone here knows how to fix this?

ET HZ issue
Yooooo,
so yesterday after reinstalling my PC I downloaded all the necessary BS like drivers and so on and wanted to try out the new OBS Studio for streaming - so I downloaded that and tried to use it - kind of succesfully but had multiple issues with it and the main one is that whenever I went to fullscreen I would just get 60hz (if I had ET in window, it would be normal 144hz) - I tried to play ET without OBS now and I still only get 60hz eventho in nvidia drivers I still got 144hz :(
144hz works perfectly fine in CSGO, GTA V and other games :(
Any clue?
